Selcen is a director and photographer who lives between Istanbul and Brussels. While studying Industrial Design and Visual Culture at Middle East Technical University, she started to write and shoot short films, which became more and more dominant in her life and after graduation she decided to follow her passion in film-making. She started to study Screenwriting and Directing at Istanbul Bilgi University with full scholarship. She began her career as an assistant director, worked in many national and international commercial films as well as two feature films of Reha Erdem: My Only Sunshine and Kosmos. Her short films have been screened and awarded prizes at many international film festivals including Los Angeles, Munich, Boston, LUCAS Frankfurt, Brussels, !f İstanbul, Ankara, Adana Golden Boll Film Festivals. She is a Berlinale Talent alumna.

Since 2012, she continues her career as a director, shooting commercials and music videos. First web series she directed for Pampers Turkey won ''Best in Show'' and ''Best Branded Content'' Golden Mixx Awards. After that, she directed a web series for Pampers Global to be broadcasted in Europe and USA, as well as commercials for many international brands such as Red Bull, P&G, Carrefour, Finansbank, Hayat Su.
